Frequently Asked Questions Tel: 07971 466 358
What should I wear?
In order to assess you, it is easier if you are undressed to your underwear. You can also bring a pair of shorts to wear if you feel more comfortable.
A gown could be provided on request.
How long will the treatment last for?
The first appointment will take up to one hour. This will allow a full case history, examination and treatment if appropriate.
The follow-up appointments will take half an hour to 40 minutes.
Can I bring a friend or relative?
Yes – if you wish, you can have someone present throughout your consultation and treatment.
Does it hurt?
Some soft tissue treatment may cause discomfort during treatment. Your osteopath will tell you what to expect, and will want you to let them know if you are in pain. You may feel a little stiff or sore after treatment. This is a normal, healthy response to the treatment.
How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments you need depends on the condition and person treated. I aim to keep your appointments to a minimum. I will be able to tell you within a short period of time whether I can treat you or if I need to refer you to someone else.
I need to cancel my appointment- What should I do?
Sometimes it happens that you would need to cancel an appointment. Please contact me as soon as you can on 07971466358.
Any appointment not cancelled 24 hours in advance will result in the full rate being charged.
